Born to          be...

1Narrow Down:This project is technically a follow up project based off my Object Study Project. I narrowed in on several themes (abstract but still tethered to the Object Study Project) for a dual poster series. Once I chose my theme, I narrowed in on some language as seen below. These were sentences I came up with that I felt related well to the concept and connected most to my lens on this topic.

2Making,making,making:
This phase included rapid sketching, starting with the hand and then gradually shifting to the computer.  This project also came after my Collage play project, where you can see some of the collages featured in these early digital sketches. I appreciate how these are all serperate and unique projects, yet the relationship between them allows meaning to be woven into each one in such intriguing ways.

Final Set:
My posters center around the idea of being born bad or created bad by societ.y. I researched if genetics can make someone an inherently bad person or if society does that to them as they get older. My posters contrast each other by playing off of the nature vs nurture debate, where I explored the idea of nature affecting someone from the start, with the idea of “it’s in my blood”, while also analyzing the nurture debate that one can be taught to be good.
