The Heidelberg Project Chatbot

Concept:The goal of this project was to design a mobile experience for a non-profit organization of our choosing that would allow people to interact with the organization in a more remote way, especially because of covid and how isolating it was for both organizations and volunteers. This project was meant to benefit the organization while also prioritizing the user’s needs. I chose to make a chat bot for The Heidelberg Project that focused on practicality, functionality, usability, and the overall experience of volunteering admist a pandemic.

id needs.

Meet Dotty: A real time chatbot that assits in the process of signing up to volunteer. Dotty gathers information via questions and charts to precisely determine what aspect of volunteering is best suited for your needs.

Audience:20-30 y/o adults looking to volunteer in a creative environment that will let them feel more a part of their community

Insights:To make any mobile experience for a group of people, it’s essential to test different ideations and prototypes, because how one person interacts with something is very different from the next, and observing how someone interacts instead of just asking them, is crucial to the development of a final, reliable outcome.
